INTRODUCTION

Located on the south western coast, Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort has been created on the site of one of Mauritius’ best kept and most jealously guarded secrets, the former sugar estate of Bel Ombre. Set on 15 hectares, the Resort nestles breathtakingly between the dreamy turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and the lush Plaine Champagne hills.
The Resort has a residential charm all of its own, capturing the colonial spirit of Mauritius with its plantation architecture, expansive manicured tropical gardens as well as the gentle waters of the Citronniers River.
Unequalled in Mauritius, nature is at the heart of our resort from the pristine reef-enclosed lagoon and beach, the adjacent nature reserve of Valriche extending over 1,500 hectares, as well as a 18 hole championship golf course and a 9 hole short course.

ACCOMMODATION

Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort offers a variety of luxury accommodation in a discrete village design of 20 villas of 6 or 8 rooms. 158 rooms and suites have beautiful sea views or river views through ceiling to floor French windows, private balconies or verandas. Our guest rooms have a soothing plantation interior design with dark timber floors, period inspired furniture and a high level of attention to design detail. Bedroom and bathroom linen offer the added luxury of fine Egyptian cotton with oversized pillows and bath towels.
Each room offers our guests the comfort of a lounge sitting area, individually controlled air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, electronic room safe, TV satellite channels, DVD/CD player, IDD phone, data port, vanity desk with hairdryer and minibar with tea and coffee making facilities. A spacious bathroom adjoins with a soak bath, walk-in shower, separate toilet, double vanity, electric shaver plugs, spacious dressing facilities and bathrobes. Butler service is available 24 hours a day. This service is systematically extended to all room types as from the Deluxe and remains available on request in the Superior rooms.

ROOM CATEGORIES

Superior Room
112 Superior rooms of 62 m2 have furnishings dressed in natural cotton and linen fabrics of soft warm hues of green, crème, beige and cappuccino. 58 rooms are sea facing whereas 54 rooms are river facing. 20 Superior rooms interlead with Junior or Ocean suites at patio level.

Deluxe Room
16 Deluxe rooms of 71 m2 are furnished with a wide linen-draped, four poster bed and other colonial pieces creating a wonderfully romantic ambience.

Junior Suite
20 Junior suites of 81 m2 offer a hexagonal shaped lounge, a wide linen-draped four poster bed. In the bathroom, luxuriate in a generously proportioned, free standing, old style bathtub.
Ground floor suites have a private outdoor shower area.

Senior Suite
Our 8 Senior suites of 101 m2 offer a perfect escape with a separate lounge and dining area furnished with period pieces. The adjoining bedroom has a generous linen-draped four poster bed as well as a spacious en-suite bathroom with a ‘his and her’ wardrobe. Ground floor suites have a private outdoor shower area.
Ocean Suite
Each of our 2 Ocean suites (116 m2) is set on the foot step of the Indian Ocean with a large verandah, spacious lounge, dining area and guest washroom. The adjoining bedroom has a wide linen-draped four poster bed as well as a spacious en-suite bathroom, his and her wardrobes and an old style, free standing, bathtub and a private outdoor shower area.

Children and extra bed policy
A baby cot can be accommodated in all room types.
Possibility of sofa-bed in the Superior room only for maximum 2 children under 13.
An extra bed can be added in the Superior room (but cannot be combined with the sofa bed) and in the Senior and Ocean Suite.
Maximum of 2 children allowed per room, sharing with parents.

Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort offers a wide variety of dining experiences allowing guests to discover new flavours and cuisines.

Annabella’s
Our main restaurant, at the heart of the resort, serves breakfast and dinner from our interactive show kitchen, where guests and the kitchen brigade enjoy a convivial atmosphere. Enjoy the tastes of Telfair with a table d’hôte menu served every night or use the food credit extended to eat A la Carte.

Gin’ja
Set on the beach, looking westward, this modern lifestyle restaurant is open for lunch through to dinner. Serving fresh fish and seafood with an Asian inspired influence, this restaurant is ideal for a romantic dinner at sunset. Dining in this restaurant is extended to a ‘feet in the sand’ experience with table settings on the beach and along the waters edge with a mood enhanced by flaming torches. For dinner, a table d’hôte menu is available. Alternatively, a food credit is extended to guests choosing the A la Carte menu.

Le Palmier
Overlooking the pool and the ocean and open from the morning till sunset, enjoy Mediterranean style flavours from open wood fired oven or a range of refreshing beverages and exotic cocktails. Beach waiter service is also available.

Cavendish Bar & Lounge
Masterpiece of the hotel, this bar boasts a Cigar and Library lounge area reserved for the connoisseur gathering in comfortable armchairs and enjoying the sounds of the resident band, overlooking the river. Open from 11am till late.

Le Château de Bel Ombre
Built in the early 19th century and set amidst 100 year old gardens, this Manor house was the heart of the Bel Ombre Estate. A convivial lunch over a Mauritian meal, a classic afternoon tea or gastronomic French meal with island flavours, the restaurant is open from lunch through to dinner. For dinner, a food credit is offered.
Le Château de Bel Ombre is ideal for weddings, special events and those occasions requiring an extraordinary setting.

Conferences
The Chantoiseau Suite (94m2) is fully equipped and air-conditioned room - the ideal place for meetings, conferences and special events.

SIX SENSES SPA

Designed as a sanctuary, the Six Senses Spa at Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort is a haven of peace where fountains and streams flow in the midst of tropical gardens. Both ancient and modern techniques are practiced by our therapists, delivering complete well-being to body and mind. Offering an unrivalled range of treatments, the spa has 9 private treatments rooms and suites as well as a hairdressing salon. 2 outdoor gazebos, a water hideaway, are surrounded by ponds with a private pool and relaxation area. The honeymoon suite, a retreat of intimacy, offers a wide range of treatments with exceptional comfort, private pool and a relaxation area.
Saunas and hammams are available by appointment in both ladies and gentlemen areas.
